(Undated) – The Robinson Unit 2 School District has issued a statement following the arrest and indictment of Mykaela Patterson on federal child porn charges. According to Robinson Unit 2 Superintendent, Josh Quick, Patterson served as a substitute teacher in the Robinson School District from September 24, 2021, through January 28, 2022, on an as-needed basis. During that time, she subbed at Lincoln Elementary School, Nuttall Middle School, and Robinson High School. Prior to being added to the list of available substitute teachers, she successfully completed a criminal background check which encompassed both state and federal criminal databases. Quick reiterates that law enforcement and prosecutors do not share details of active investigations with school officials.
