Stephens Sentenced on Criminal Sexual Assault Charges

(Undated) – An Oblong man was sentenced to nearly a decade behind bars during a January court appearance. In a Monday Press Release Crawford County State’s Attorney, Cole Shaner, said that thirty-five-year-old James Stephens made a January 27th court appearance where he was sentenced to nine years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with two years of mandatory supervised release on a Class 1 Felony charge of Criminal Sexual Assault. The Robinson Police Department assisted in the prosecution of this case.
