(Undated) – April is “Distracted Driving Awareness Month.” According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, distracted driving led to more than nine thousand crashes on Illinois roads in 2020. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says in 2019, distracted driving killed three-thousand-one-hundred-forty-two people nationwide. That marked a 10% increase from 2018.
