(Undated) – Farmers are keeping a close eye on corn contracts after hitting prices not seen in a decade. May Corn contracts surpassed the eight dollar threshold at the Chicago Board of Trade Monday. Agrivisor’s Karl Setzer said corn is taking its support from a few factors.

He says the ongoing war in Ukraine and delays in planting here in the states as a result of ongoing cool and wet weather is why contracts are elevated. The last time corn hit the 8-dollar mark was in 2012.
