(Undated) – An all-electric truck is the “coolest thing made in Illinois.” For the third time, the Illinois Manufacturers Association has named the coolest thing made in Illinois and this year’s winner is the all-electric truck built by Rivian.
The manufacturing industry employs 500,000 people in the state and the IMA says this year’s Makers Madness started with 400 nominations. Rivian builds trucks and soon SUVs in Bloomington on the site of the former Mitsubishi auto plant.
