Gas Prices Continue to Climb

(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend upward headed into the Mother’s Day weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is up nine cents from Monday to $4.28 a gallon. The current statewide average for Illinois is $4.58 a gallon, which marks a seventeen-cent jump from the beginning of the week. Indiana has also seen a seventeen-cent jump in the price per gallon over the last week, hovering around $4.21. California still leads the nation at $5.78 a gallon. Oklahoma has the lowest prices at the pump with a statewide average of $3.83 a gallon.
