(Undated) – It appears we will have to deal with a couple of more days of wet weather ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through this evening across all of central and southeast Illinois. A few of the storms may be strong or locally severe, with brief wind gusts as high as 60 mph and isolated hail up to an inch. Tornadoes are not expected. However, locally heavy rainfall is a threat and could cause flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Stay tuned to Classic Hits, WTYE, for the latest weather information.
