(Undated) – Following yesterday’s wet weather and the threat of more rain in the forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Classic Hits listening area. The current forecast is calling for showers and thunderstorms to move into the area this evening and remain a part of our “weather picture” through at least Thursday. They say rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are likely across the watch area. With the threat of flooding, authorities are once again reminding drivers to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.” Each year, more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other thunderstorm-related hazard.
