The Fall in Gas Prices Continues

(Undated) – The plummet in prices at the pump continues. Gas prices continue falling coast to coast, with the national average declining for the sixth straight week. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says he sees no reason to expect the decline won’t continue. However, De Haan says the future is far from certain.

He says in addition to the threat of tropical storms, GDP data for the second quarter is set to be released, and if it’s better than expected, we may see an oil rally, slowing the descent. The current national average is $4.32 a gallon. The statewide average for Illinois is $4.81 a gallon. It’s $4.36 a gallon in Indiana.
