(Undated) – It appears as though we will be getting a brief break in the rain just in time to “enjoy” the heat. According to the National Weather Service’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” heat index values of 100 to 108 are expected this afternoon before thunderstorms return this evening. They say some of these storms will be strong to severe, with damaging winds and flooding from heavy rain. The forecast for the rest of the week and weekend looks to be a mix of sunshine and rain, with a chance of showers every day through the early part of next week.
