Oblong Man Arrested on Drug Related Charges

(Palestine) – An Oblong man was arrested over the weekend by Palestine authorities. According to Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, while assisting the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois Conservation Police with an investigation on Outer East Main Street in Robinson, he stopped a vehicle which resulted in the arrest of thirty-seven-year-old Anthony Burcham. Burcham was booked into the Crawford County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Traffic Citation for Adult Use of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, and a Probation Warrant out of Lawrence County. Assisting in this arrest were Robinson Police Officer, Isiah Osborne, Crawford County Chief Deputy, Doug Slater, and Deputy, Lucas Wallace.
