Gas Price Fall Continues

(Undated) – The national average price for gas has fallen $1.20 from its peak in June, now hovering around $3.83 a gallon. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says some issues have developed that they are keeping a close eye on, including the shut-down of the largest refinery in the Midwest. He says while that refinery may get back online sooner rather than later, it’s not impossible that down the road the situation could impact prices in the region. However, De Haan says the rest of the country will continue to see prices moderate. He says this is of course subject to the hurricane season, so there’s no guarantee the decline will continue.
