Gas Prices Fall for 12 Straight Week

(Undated) – The national average price per gallon has declined seven cents from a week ago to $3.75 per gallon. According to GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analyses, Patrick De Haan, that marks the 12 straight week gas prices have fallen. That is the longest tally since 2018 and it could soon eclipse that mark if we see two more weeks of decline. However, he says that may be more challenging given OPEC’s decision to cut oil production. De Haan says for now price movements will be contingent on where you are, so it is going to be a very mixed bag for motorists in the week ahead. The statewide average for Illinois has fallen to $4.10 a gallon. It’s $3.89 in Indiana.
