(Undated) – The Wabash Valley Wine and Arts Festival is coming up in October and Palestine authorities are asking the public to leave their “fur-babies” at home. According to Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, due to an incident where a small child was bitten by a dog last year in the festival area on Main Street, it has been decided that no pets, other than authorized service animals, will be allowed on Main Street in the festival area. He says this rule applies to all animals regardless if they are on a leash, being carried, or in a cart. Violators will be asked to leave the area by law enforcement officers if they bring their pets to the festival area.
