(Robinson) – The RHS girls advanced to the State Cross Country meet after finishing third in the St Joe Ogden sectional at Parkland College. According to Head Coach, Tony Cork, the girls finished behind Tolono Unity and Marshall. Quinn Wesley led the Maroons with her 17th-place finish. Scoring for the Maroons were Sophie Stark in 19th, Mallory Mosbey in 27th, Rylee Young at 41st, and Leighanna Welsh at 51. The Maroons will run at 9 am Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria. The boys finished 12th in the field of 21 teams. Austin Wesley advanced to State with his 9th place finish and will compete as an individual on Saturday at 10 am.
