Gas Prices Could Dip Below $3 by Christmas

(Undated) – Gas prices continue to fall ahead of Thanksgiving travel. According to GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, everyone will be seeing relief at the pump this week, with even more substantial declines on the way as oil prices plummeted last week to briefly trade under $80 per barrel. De Haan says it’s not impossible that if oil markets hold here, we could see a national average under three dollars by Christmas. He also says drivers shouldn’t be in a rush to fill up as prices will continue to come down heading into the heavily traveled Thanksgiving holiday. The current national average has fallen to $3.65 a gallon. It’s $3.95 in Illinois and $3.81 in Indiana.
