(Undated) – The Crawford County Recreation Center will soon begin taking shape. According to Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Construction Project Manager, Nicholas Knapp, who is overseeing the construction of the project, once the steel assembly begins people visiting campus and passing north of campus will start to see the building’s shape. The structural steel is expected to be delivered soon and assembly will begin in early January. Currently, the foundation work is nearing completion, including electrical and plumbing. Knapp says the structural assembly will continue for a couple of months before interior construction begins. He says construction on the facility is expected to be completed in July.
