(Undated) — Better Business Bureau Investigator, Don O’Brien, is reminding the public to look out for fraud in 2023. O’Brien says a big goal is to be social media smart and keep your settings to where not everyone can snoop your pages. He also reminds the public to never send money to strangers, do research before making online payments and purchases, use your best judgment when sharing your personal information, and to be cautious with email and text messages. The BBB says the biggest scams this year are expected to be online, via email, or through text messages. Find and report scams via the BBB’s Scam Tracker, this free tool can be used to report suspected scams and warn others so they can avoid similar cons.
