(Undated) – The public is being reminded that if you need to talk to the offices within the courthouse, you’ll need to call some alternate numbers. According to Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, due to a phone system malfunction, the Crawford County Courthouse is now using temporary cell phones. Rutan says the phone system at the courthouse experienced a system-wide crash and will be down until repairs can be made. He says the nearly thirty-year-old system was set to be replaced this spring anyway but this malfunction has moved up the timetable for those repairs. Authorities are hoping to have the new system up and running next week, they are currently waiting on parts. This does not affect the Crawford County Annex.
