(Robinson) – Crawford Memorial Hospital and the Robinson Police Department will allow the public to dispose of outdated and unwanted medication next month. CMH Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Becky Ruppel, estimates that over the eleven or so years that the two have been teaming up for the “Drug Take Back” event they have collected in the neighborhood of five-thousand pounds of drugs. The “Drug Take Back” will be held on April 20th from 10 am-2pm at the East Entrance of CMH under the canopy. Ruppel says every kind of medicine including over-the-counter, prescription, liquid, pill, and ointment will be taken. However, syringes will not be accepted.
