(Undated) – Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker, believes community college students shouldn’t have to take out a loan to get a degree. Yesterday he announced the latest addition to the state’s MAP Grant program. Illinois’ MAP Grant program is now worth seven hundred million dollars, and the governor says everyone who applied for a grant last year got one. MAP Grants are earmarked for low-income students in Illinois. Earlier this month Illinois Eastern Community College Chancellor, Dr. Ryan Gower, announced the fourth consecutive semester of enrollment growth at IECC schools.
