RPD Participating in Torch Run for Special Olympics

(Robinson) – The Robinson Police Department will once again be participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. According to Robinson Police Chief, Chad Weaver, they are now selling t-shirts and hats to raise funds. The T-shirts and hats are available for purchase at the Robinson Police Department Monday through Friday from 7 am-11 am and 12 pm-4 pm. Weaver says they will also accept monetary donations. All of the proceeds benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois and go to Special Olympics Illinois, he says neither the department nor the city receives any monies from this effort.
