(Undated) – It is going to cost you more to fill your gas tank this weekend. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is up a dime from a week ago to $3.65 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has jumped thirteen cents from last Friday to $4.07 a gallon. Drivers in Indiana are paying sixteen cents more per gallon than a week ago to $3.73. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says the jump in gas price is being fueled by OPEC’s cut in production and increased seasonal demand. De Haan says to expect the upward trend to continue through much of the spring.
