(Undated) – The National Weather Service is keeping a watchful eye on the current conditions. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” southwest winds will gust as high as 40 mph today. They say this could cause difficult travel for high-profile vehicles. In addition to the high winds, dropping dew points will produce a low afternoon relative humidity. That combined with dry vegetation will create conditions “favorable for sporadic rapid fire spread.” They say the public is discouraged from outdoor burning, if cooking outside keep a careful watch on your grill, burning embers can blow around and easily catch grass on fire, and always responsibly dispose of cigarettes.
