(Undated) – A shift in weather patterns is making it hard for the National Weather Service to predict the long-term outlook. National Weather Service Meteorologist, Ed Shimon, says the transition away from La Nina is making it hard to pinpoint the long-term forecast.
Shimon says the current short-term outlooks are in direct contrast with one another. One shows May with below-normal temperatures and the other shows above-normal temperatures.
