(Undated) – Crawford Memorial Hospital is reminding the public that exercise is important, especially if you struggle with your blood sugar. They know that daily exercise can be intimidating. However, improving your health could be as simple as walking. They remind the public that there are some simple “steps” to become a little more active every day. They also say that the latest research shows that walking is a very effective form of exercise. CMH recently shared seven tips to help get you moving. Find those tips below. It is part of their “Diabetic Deep Dive” on the hospital’s Facebook page.

1. Walk during your lunch break. Even 10 minutes makes a difference!
2. Walk and talk! Making calls for work or chatting with a friend? Use that time to get in a few steps.
3. Park as far away as you can. Pick the last parking spot at the store or the office.
4. Take the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator.
5. Clean your house! Steps you take during household chores add up!
6. Have a pup? Add a couple of minutes to your daily walk. He’ll love it!
7. Make plans to walk with friends. Exercise with others is always more fun.
