(Oblong) – With warmer weather comes increased use of golf carts, UTVs, and other “neighborhood vehicles.” Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding Village residents that annual permit stickers are available in the Village Treasurer’s office for the 2023-2024 season. She says if you are a new applicant, you will need to fill out an application and need to bring with you proof of insurance and your driver’s license. The annual fees are $50 per year or $25 per year for Veterans. She also reminds the public that you must be at least 18 years old to drive a golf cart, UTV, or neighborhood vehicle in Oblong. Machines must be “road ready.” You are permitted to drive on any Village street but not on Main Street. Operation times are 6 am – 10 pm.
