United Way and Marathon Team Up to Help NOW Programs

(Undated) – The United Way of Crawford County and Marathon have teamed up to make sure kids have access to food. According to Crawford County United Way Community Resource Representative, Barb Shimer, they were recently awarded a “Marathon Community Investment Thriving Communities Grant” to support three county Nutrition on Weekends programs. The NOW programs provide weekend and summer food to students who may not otherwise have access. The grant provided the Hutsonville NOW Program with two-thousand dollars, the Palestine NOW Program received four thousand dollars, and the Robinson NOW Program received ten-thousand dollars.
