(Undated) – The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department is advising the public to be aware of a mail scam. According to authorities, residents have reported receiving a text message claiming to be from the U.S. Postal Service, advising that delivery of a package has been suspended and providing a link for the recipient to “update their mailing address.” However, the USPS does not notify customers of delivery attempts, or request personal information, via email or text message. If you receive one of these emails or text messages you can forward it to the USPS at spam@usps.gov and then delete the message.
