(Undated) – While the national average for a gallon of gas remains unchanged from Friday the statewide averages for Illinois and Indiana have increased slightly. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is unchanged at $3.54 a gallon. Prices here in Illinois, have seen an increase, up a penny from Friday to $3.83. Across the river in Indiana, the average price per gallon continued to tick up to $3.52. Mississippi continues to be the only state in the nation to have gas prices below $3 with a statewide average price per gallon of $2.99. California drivers are paying $4.87 a gallon.
