(Undated) – The Eastern Illinois Foodbank will be in the area today. The Eastern Illinois Foodbank is the primary food source for food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and other programs working to feed those facing hunger. According to the “Feeding America Map the Meal Gap” Crawford County has a “food insecurity” rate of 9.3 %. The Foodbank will begin the day in Newton at 9 am with stops in Willow Hill, Oblong, Robinson and Palestine before wrapping up the day in Hutsonville at 2 pm. Find the full schedule below.
