(Effingham, IL) – An Effingham man has been sentenced to more than fifteen years on methamphetamine charges. A U.S. District judge sentenced thirty-seven-year-old Tyler Schumacher of Altamont to 188 months in federal prison. Schumacher pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute more than five grams of methamphetamine. According to court documents, Schumacher conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine in Effingham County from 2019 until June 2022.
