According to GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $3.80 a gallon, down two cents from yesterday. The statewide average for Illinois is $4.05 a gallon. It’s $3.66 in Indiana. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says they are keeping an eye on oil inventories. The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report and it says crude oil inventories decreased by 10.6 million barrels to a total of 422.9 million barrels, which is 4.6 million barrels above last year. However, that is 3% below the five-year average for this time of year.
