(Undated) – It appears as though we will never be able to fully put COVID-19 behind us. The new head of the CDC says it is here to stay. Dr. Mandy Cohen, spoke at a luncheon in Atlanta this week, saying folks are just going to have to “learn to live with it.” Cohen recommended masking, social distancing, and other measures to keep the virus at bay. She also said a new booster for COVID will be available as soon as next week. The CDC earlier this week voiced concern at an uptick in COVID hospitalizations and deaths as we head into the fall.
