(Undated) – The national average for a gallon of gas remains unchanged from Friday. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average remains $3.80 a gallon. However, here in Illinois, the statewide average has fallen a nickel to $3.95 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average has climbed a penny from Friday to $3.71 a gallon. Drivers in Mississippi are paying on average the lowest prices in the nation at $3.23 a gallon. On the coast, in California, the statewide average is $5.39 a gallon.
