(Undated) – The investigation is ongoing into last Friday’s accident near Teutopolis that claimed the lives of at least five people. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. NTSB Board Member, Tom Chapman, says the preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the tractor-trailer carrying the anhydrous ammonia may have been trying to avoid an accident.
Chapman says anyone who saw the accident or has a video needs to reach out to them at witness.ntsb.gov. Chapman says a preliminary report will be released in about 30 days.
