(Undated) – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the CCHD is reminding the community about their “Cancer Comfort Bag” Program. According to the Crawford County Health Department, the program was established in June of 2022. This program provides a tote bag filled with comfort items and essentials to Crawford County residents battling cancer. While CCHD promotes, organizes, and distributes the bags, this program is 100% donation-based. All bags, blankets, comfort items, and gift cards are donated by residents, local businesses, and CCHD employee fundraisers. To date over 20 comfort bags have been given out to Crawford County residents battling cancer. To learn more click the link below.
