(Undated) – The National Weather Service has issued a “Freeze Warning.” They say the warning will go into effect tonight at 9 p.m. and remain in effect until 9 a.m. tomorrow. The current forecast is calling for an overnight low tonight of just 24 degrees. They say the public should take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing. The “Freeze Warning” is for Clark, Jasper, Crawford, Clay, Richland, and Lawrence Counties.
