(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend lower as we head into the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is hovering around $3.43 a gallon, down three cents from Monday. The price per gallon here in Illinois, is down two cents to $3.52. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average has fallen to $3.29 a gallon, down a nickel from Monday. Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, and South Carolina all have statewide averages below the three-dollar-a-gallon mark. California drivers are paying on average $5.18 a gallon.
