More Counties Issue Burn Bans

(Undated) – The number of counties with a burn ban continues to grow. Burn bans remain in effect for Crawford, Jasper, and Richland Counties in Illinois. There is also a ban in effect for Clay, Vigo, and now Sullivan Counties in Indiana. Sullivan County authorities announced their ban went into effect last night. All of the bans will remain in effect until further notice. Authorities in all of the affected counties are asking residents to refrain from burning trash, leaves, or other things outdoors as they could potentially cause field or wildfires that could spread rapidly due to the current dry conditions.
