(Undated) – Despite the uptick in holiday travel, the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded continues to fall. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has fallen to $3.28 a gallon, down a nickel from Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has also fallen a nickel to $3.45 a gallon. In Indiana, the statewide average is down six cents to $3.24 a gallon. Several states have seen prices fall below three dollars a gallon with Mississippi having the lowest statewide average at $2.75. It’s $4.39 in California.
