Pal-Hut May Be Looking at 8-Man Football

(Undated) – Currently, twenty-eight high school teams play 8-man football statewide and Pal-Hut may be looking to make it twenty-nine. During last night’s school board meetings both the Hutsonville and Palestine Boards voted to dissolve the Tri-Op Football agreement with Oblong. Both schools are looking to return to the Pal-Hut Co-Op and perhaps move to 8-man football, which is governed by the Illinois 8-Man Football Association. The Illinois 8-Man Football Association held its fifth state championship last Friday as Amboy routed Ridgewood to win the school’s first state football title since 1984.
