(Undated) — The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is issuing a warning about the latest iPhone iOS update. They say if you have an iPhone and have done the recent iOS update, they’ve installed a feature called “NameDrop.” This feature allows you to easily share contact information and photos with another iPhone by just holding the phones close together. The Sheriff’s Department says this feature is “ON” by default. They are particularly advising parents to disable this setting in their child’s phone to help keep them safe. The instructions to turn this feature off can be found below.
To Disable “NameDrop” go to:
Settings
General
AirDrop
Bringing Devices Together and switch it to “OFF.”
