(Undated) – The national average price for gas is headed in the wrong direction. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is up three cents from Monday to $3.25. The statewide average for Illinois has also seen a three-cent increase from Monday, climbing to $3.39 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, drivers are enjoying prices that are five cents lower than at the beginning of the week, hovering around $3.06 a gallon. Oklahoma has the cheapest gas in the nation at $2.67 a gallon. California drivers are paying, on average $4.80 a gallon.
