(Undated) – The American Red Cross is again asking everyone to make blood donations part of your holiday tradition. The American Red Cross declared a national blood shortage in September, citing a critically low blood supply levels. Despite seeing an increase in donations following the declaration, there continues to be an urgent need for donors of all blood types, and an emergency need for platelet donors and type O blood donors. Your next chance to donate is coming up Friday at the Oblong Grade School. The Red Cross will be set up from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Learn more and find a drive near you at redcrossblood.org.
