(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong is reminding those in need that the Oblong Food Pantry will be distributing food boxes on Monday. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says that fifty-two families were served during the November distribution. She says that if you are interested in volunteering to pack or help distribute boxes, be at the Central United Methodist Church on Monday morning by 7 a.m. The church is located at 112 N. Range Street. Distribution of boxes will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Fielder also says if you or anyone you know may need an emergency box of food before or after any distribution, please call Food Pantry Director, Nancy Ping, at 618-592-4895.
