Burn Ban Now in Effect Countywide

(Undated) – A countywide burn ban is once again in effect. Due to the ongoing dry conditions countywide, Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, in conjunction with local fire officials, is officially instituting a county-wide burn ban effective immediately. According to Rutan, the County encountered five fires recently that “got out of control,” one of them even destroying a house. Rutan says at this time all fires are banned except contained fires for cooking purposes.
