(Undated) – Gas prices continue to slip lower as we head into the busy Christmas travel season. According to GasBuddy.com, the current national average is hovering around $3.09 a gallon, down eleven cents from a week ago. The statewide average for Illinois is $3.18 a gallon, down thirteen cents from a week ago. The statewide average for Indiana is well below the three-dollar mark at $2.79 a gallon, a fifteen-cent decline from a week ago. Oklahoma has the cheapest gas in the nation at $2.51 a gallon. California drivers are paying a statewide average of $4.64 a gallon.
