National Average Gas Price is Trending Higher

(Undated) – The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is trending higher as we head into the holiday weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has climbed to $3.12, three cents higher than yesterday and eight cents higher than Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.09 a gallon, down three cents from Monday. While drivers in Indiana are still paying, on average, less than three dollars a gallon, the statewide average has jumped twenty-one cents from Monday to $2.94. Oklahoma has the cheapest gas in the nation at $2.61 and California has the most expensive at $4.55 a gallon.
