(Sullivan, In) – The rebuilding and recovery effort is ongoing following the March tornado that ripped through the area. Thanks to a recent donation, the Sullivan, Indiana VFW post will regain an iconic piece of its history. The Heroes New Hope Foundation recently donated sixty-five hundred dollars to assist in replacing the helicopter that symbolized the post. Heroes New Hope Foundation is a Sullivan-based organization with the mission to “enable wounded or injured Veterans to overcome perceived limitations, and to allow for therapeutic healing of one’s inner self through hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.” The Sullivan VFW post plans to be rebuilt and in service by March of 2024.
